Daily Magic Productions has released the latest major update this week for its fantastic adventure Witching Tower VR for Oculus Rift and HTC Vive. While the PC VR version received an improved standout and locomotion, the developer confirmed the work on the version for PlayStation VR users.
In fact, when the studio first announced Witching Tower VR in early 2018, it mentioned plans for a version of the PlayStation VR, but it wasn’t mentioned any more until this week. It seems that Daily Magic Productions was solely focused on releasing the PC version correctly and without problems before concentrating its efforts on the Sony console.
But now, when one of the team members responded to a Steam user’s request as to why there are no more updates, everything became clear:
“Today we released the latest update on Steam (in HTC and Oculus stores a little later). Not that it was final, but it’s not worth waiting for updates in the near future. We will fix only critical errors. Now we have to fully concentrate on porting the Witching Tower to PSVR. We plan to update the game after the game is released on PlayStation Store. ”
At the moment there is no release date for Witching Tower VR on the PlayStation VR, and we can only guess about it.
In the latest update, Daily Magic Productions reworked the combat system, making enemies much more serious enemies. Now they are smarter, able to defend and counterattack, which makes the battle more dynamic. Locomotion was also improved, smooth rotation settings and support for 3dRudder were added.
Currently, Witching Tower VR can be bought at a discount on Steam, the price has dropped from £ 15.49 GBP to £ 7.74, which saves 50 percent. As more information about the PlayStation VR version is released, VRcue will keep you updated.
