Permission is so great that you won’t know what to do with it.
The annual CES event in Las Vegas is the ideal time for technology makers to showcase their latest products. On the 2019 show, Insta360 opened pre-orders for its professional 360-degree camera Insta360 Titan. Today, the company officially launched the device, starting shipping to customers around the world.
With a premium feature set and an impressive price tag of $ 15,000, the Insta360 Titan is good and truly aimed at the high-end market. A one-piece camera with eight 200 ° F3.2 fisheye lenses that have Micro Four Thirds sensors capable of recording at 11K. Shooting modes include 11K at 30 frames per second, 10K 3D at 30 frames per second, as well as 11K 360 ° photos in 3D and monoscopic formats.
Some other smart technologies inside Insta360 Titan include FlowState stabilization, which allows you to stabilize the gimbal without any additional equipment or headaches for content creators during the post-production phase. One problem is still solved for directors who want to go unnoticed, which is not so easy when the camera records 360. To solve it, Insta360 created its own monitoring system Farsight live to help with this problem by providing the creators with remote preview with low latency for shooting, making them invisible to the camera.
“We worked together with the creators of VR to create the hardware platforms they need – from Titan’s cinematic quality to the versatility of the Insta360 Pro series,” said JK Lew, co-founder and CEO of Insta360.
“Our roadmap this year does not include any new professional cameras. Our full focus is to bring more Titan and Pro cameras to consumers through continued updates and integration with key ecosystem partners. ”
There is also a slight problem with viewing content at 11K resolution, since sites such as YouTube can currently play video at resolutions up to 8K only. To get around this, Insta360 created its own CrystalView player, which allows you to play footage shot on Titan with full 11K quality on iOS and Android devices. To do this, on mobile devices, the company took an example from the rendering manual, displaying only that part of the scene that the viewer is watching, ignoring what is behind their head.
If you want to start recording 360-degree content with super high resolution, then you should visit Insta360.com or B & H Photo and get ready to spend some serious money. Or, if you want something simpler, you can try Insta360 Evo, which was launched in March for $ 419.99.
