The Bad Ass Mega Fun will be released this week.

Migrating Borderlands 2 VR to the PlayStation VR on Christmas 2018, Gearbox Software now plans to release a game for PC-centric VR headsets this fall. As for the PlayStation VR version, fans should know that a massive update will be released later this week.

Revealing details at PAX West, Gearbox Software will release the “Bad Ass Mega Fun” bundle for the PlayStation VR this Friday, September 6, 2019. The peculiarity of the pack is that it includes all the add-ons previously released for the game.

As for the version of the game for the PC, the studio only provided users with the “Fall 2019” release window. While no specific VR helmets have been mentioned, most likely the game will go on Steam to provide support for most devices. Or, as always, there is a chance that the new product will go to the Oculus store or Epic Store. One thing was clear when Borderlands 2 VR really hit the PC, it would include the “Bad Ass Mega Fun” bundle, so you shouldn’t expect a lack of content.

There is still no mention of any multi-user or cooperative functionality for Borderlands 2 VR, so at the moment it looks like it remains single-user.

Recall that the original Borderlands 2 was released in 2012. Over the years, a huge amount of DLC content has been added. The bonus for VR players is that all of these additional DLCs will be free.

As the studio continues to support VR, VRcue will keep you updated on the latest company announcements.
