Digitalization of healthcare and the introduction of innovations in the field of medical equipment will become one of the central topics of the VIII International Forum “Open Innovations”. The event will host the Telemedforum, dedicated to the international trends of modern medicine.
Digital technologies today already help the healthcare system to be more effective along the entire “patient path” – from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and rehabilitation. Artificial intelligence detects cancer with an accuracy of 95%. Bigdata analysis greatly facilitates and accelerates the work of specialists. The organs and tissues printed on the 3D bioprinter save the lives of people without donors. All this not only improves the quality of medical services, but also leads to the creation of a new medicine, preventive and personalized.
Natalia Polushkina, Vice President, Executive Director of the Skolkovo Foundation’s Biomedical Technology Cluster: “Creating innovative biomedical technologies, devices, drugs or medical techniques is impossible today without digital technologies. They have become one of the key factors for the successful development of the industry and the implementation of national health projects. And, of course, their improvement is one of the powerful drivers for the conscious involvement of patients in caring for their health. Therefore, the focus on the Open Innovations Forum this year will be on the principles of predictive and personalized medicine, and many other critical health issues. ”
At the Open Innovations Forum, representatives of the medical industry, science, government and the business community will discuss digital technologies as a driver of demographic development, health protection and improving the quality of life. The Forum program includes discussions “Legal issues of digital medicine”, “Internet of things in healthcare”, “Life Science. Digital Solutions Changing Medicine, Urban Health. How to restore health to a megalopolis? ”And others. The topic of another discussion will be the cybersecurity of medical data: in the first quarter of 2019, medicine ranked second in the world in the number of hacker attacks (10%), second only to the public sector.
The following sessions will take place in medicine and healthcare: President of the nonprofit organization HIMSS (Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society) Harold Wulf, Director General of the International Medical Cluster Foundation Michael Yugai, coordinator of the telemedicine university network within the National Research and Educational Network of Brazil Louise Ari Messina, Astrazeneca CEO Pascal Sorio, Insilico Medicine Virtual Project Manager Quentin Vanhalen, 3D Bio Co-Founder and Managing Partner Printing Solutions Yousef Hesuani, Digital Transformation Manager at the Hadassah Medical Center, Yakov Zhitomirsky and others.
The VIII International Forum of Innovation Development “Open Innovations” will be held in the Skolkovo Technopark from October 21 to 23. The theme of the Forum in 2019 is “Digital Nation. Transfer to the intellectual economy. ”
The co-organizers of the Forum are the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, the Government of Moscow, the Skolkovo Fund, the Russian Venture Company, the Fund for Infrastructure and Educational Programs, the Innovation Promotion Fund, and the State Development Corporation VEB.RF.
