We are waiting for a lot of summer content!
When Oculus Quest was released in May, it had a decent line of video games and applications available on the first day. If you were worried that since then there has not been a constant flow of content, this is not necessary, as the August content looks very good. Recently, several projects have been submitted, the number of which may well make gamers happy.
This morning, Twitter developer Vertical Robot announced that his sci-fi puzzle game Red Matter will be released on Oculus Quest on August 15th. Being in an alternative future, where the Cold War continues between the two superpowers, you play as an astronaut sent to an abandoned base on a ray, one of Saturn’s moons. Your mission is to restore top-secret information that can put an end to the war.
Overall, Red Matter is a very high-level VR experience that gently weaves its story and puzzle elements together. It is by no means ideal, based on other existing games in VR. So just enjoy the moment, plunging into the world of this game.
Pinball FX2 VR from Zen Studios was also announced. The original game for Oculus Rift, Pinball FX2 VR will appear in the Oculus Quest store on August 15. Offering a selection of very detailed tables, the Pinball FX2 VR has proven to be a very exciting experience.
Zen Studios has created some great digital pinball recreations, yet every other version now seems redundant: Pinball FX 2 VR is what digital pinball should be.
And finally, there is Acron: Attack of the Squirrels! from Resolution Games. This is a multiplayer party video game. Previously announced as having a summer release, the project is another experience that will appear on the Oculus Store, this time with a release date of August 29. Just appearing in the Quest store, the multi-platform experience will also support Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and mobile devices.
Do not forget that Oculus Quest will also acquire projects such as Time Stall and Ninja Legend. They will also be blowing out this month, so the platform has a lot to offer to entertain you.
