Owlchemy Labs is one of the most successful virtual reality studios (VR) thanks to games like Job Simulator and Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality. Announcing the game Vacation Simulator in 2017, the studio has now confirmed the release date for the PC VR version and the launch window for the PlayStation VR version.

Vacation Simulator will be presented on Steam for Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and Windows Mixed Reality headsets on April 9, 2019, as well as in the Oculus Store for $ 29.99. A version of PlayStation VR will appear this summer.

Owlchemy Labs does not just disclose the launch date today, all stores where the game will be available are now also confirmed. Up to this point, the only place in which the studio has admitted – and showed details – was the beach. In fact, there are three additional locations for players that they can explore: forest, mountains, and resort. All directions are designed to offer players typical types of recreation with a not very typical twist due to misinterpretation of human requests by robots.

The history of the game says:

“In 2060 — after a record transfer to a wildly successful job simulator — the robots decided to reveal what else people did besides“ work ”. After many years of balancing levels of buoyancy, cataloging campfire chronicles and ensuring the safety of ski slopes, their research has led to a rough understanding of the rest.

With Owlchemy Labs’ inherent humor, the vacation simulator will include all activities, whether setting up your character for a selfie, shooting snowballs, creating ice sculptures, or maybe even just relaxing under the sun.

“We believe that everyone should be able to enjoy VR. At Owlchemy, we are committed to making VR accessible to everyone, and I believe that we are taking huge steps towards achieving the goal with the help of Vacation Simulator. ”
