In early May, the retail platform HTC Vive announced a new offer for the owners of the Oculus Rift and (at that time) the outgoing Rift S, giving them 2 free months of Viveport Infinity. Today, Oculus owners can now implement this offer.
It doesn’t matter if you are a new or existing Viveport Infinity user, both will have access to an offer that will allow you to access hundreds of virtual reality (VR) games. For new Oculus users, all you need to do is register for a free 14-day trial in June. In your account you will find the 2-month Infinity code in the “redeem” section, which you can use until the trial version expires. For existing Infinity customers, your account will be automatically renewed by Viveport.
When it comes to the Valve Index, it seems that the conditions have changed a bit. Previously, like Oculus Rift and Rift S customers, the owners of the Valve Index had to register before June 30. With the Valve Index, available only from June 28, this left only a short accessibility window. In addition, the first batch of Valve Index was delivered fairly quickly, so customers who did not place their orders when the pre-order page became available would have to wait at least until August / September to receive their headsets.
Because of this, Viveport stated:
“This offer will apply to owners of the Valve Index, who will be able to get their two free months of Viveport Infinity later this summer, when a virtual reality helmet becomes available for purchase.”
After the free offer ends, you can renew your subscription for a subscription fee of $ 12.99 / £ 12.99. Thanks to this, you get unlimited access to the growing library of VR-video games and applications Viveport Infinity, 10% of the content once a month when ordering, as well as exclusive offers and discounts for the weekend. Or you can go for an annual $ 99 / £ 99 deal. This is 36% savings on a monthly subscription, plus all the same benefits.
