The platform for creating augmented reality ZapWorks from the company Zappar received a major update with the Studio 6 toolkit, already available for download. Developers have access to face tracking and Sketchfab integration.
Support for face tracking allows content producers to create masks that are well attached to users. The Face Groups feature allows you to attach 3D content to points on the user’s face, and Face Paint applies images directly to the user’s skin, and they are deformed and stretched when moving.
Integration with Sketchfab means that you can add 3D models to projects without worrying about formats or exporting. The service media library contains more than two million models of objects, characters, scenes and environments, which are now easy to load into ZapWorks Studio.
Studio 6 also contains a number of other changes, such as support for simultaneous work with more than one project, new navigation with a three-dimensional view and a new color selection tool with preserving primary colors both globally and for each project.
A detailed review of the update is available on the Zappar blog. If you already have a Studio application installed, it will automatically be updated the next time you start it.
